It’s 4 am. My stomach is roiling. But my eyelids are heavy, and all I want to do is go back to sleep. For thirty minutes, my stomach and Team Sleep (brain and eyelids) war.
I don’t wanna. Why don’t you settle down so we can get back to sleep?
I tried. I can’t. You have to get up.
And so on… until I found myself kneeling on the bathroom floor at 4:30 am. Stomach 1, Sleep 0.
So I’m finishing up my chicken noodle soup lunch, and heading back to bed to give Team Sleep another chance…
